CAMP THEMES, DATES & DESCRIPTIONS
May 20-24 Jr. Camp Messy Masters I: Children will experience the unique artwork of Jackson Pollock, Georges Seurat, Michelangelo & more and then we’ll experiment with each style by painting with marbles, dots and even upside down! Sr. Camp Messy Masters I: Senior campers will take a more in-depth approach to the study of these masters along with the artists of the Renaissance and our local Spoleto event going on this week.
May 28-31 (FOUR DAY CAMP) Jr. Camp Iron Chefs: Learn about the nutritional value of food to make healthy choices for a healthy lifestyle. We’ll use our very own garden here at the Museum to make some yummy treats. We’ll even share the recipes! We'll also have a very special visit from Charleston Cooks!
Sr. Camp Iron Chefs: The Senior chefs will also create healthy snacks and meals while exploring a more in-depth experience with nutrition, exercise and balance. And, as an added bonus, an adventure to Market Street Sweets on King Street!
June 3-7 Jr. Camp Star Wars I: Music, costumes, movies and more! We'll make light sabers, storm troopers and our own millennium falcon ship. Costumes encouraged! On the last day, we'll ask you to dress up as your favorite Star Wars character for some fun theatrics and photo ops. Sr. Camp Star Wars I: Senior Star Wars campers will take a more in-depth look at the story and characters with trivia matches and detailed art projects. Costumes encouraged! On the last day, we'll ask you to dress up as your favorite Star Wars character for some fun theatrics and photo ops.
