GRANDPARENT ADVISORY COUNCIL (G-PAC)
OUR MISSION
– The Grandparent Advisory Council of CML strives to support the Museum’s mission through the talents and services of its member families
– Serve as a sounding board, liaison, and advocate for Museum families
– Foster communication between the Museum and member grandparents in order to improve the quality of the Museum experience and increase member retention, satisfaction and loyalty
– Communicate the goals and desires of the Museum membership and further those goals through development and fundraising efforts
– Promote a spirit of service, fellowship and philanthropy among the Museum community
PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY AND INVOLVEMENT
– Make a concerted effort to give time and publicize the work and mission of the Museum and G-PAC
– Provide input regarding CML programming, exhibits and events
– Identify strong candidates for G-PAC who can make significant contributions to the progress of CML
– Be well informed to convey and support CML’s mission, goals, policies and programs while knowing the Museum’s strengths and needs
– Support and volunteer time to CML’s annual events: FAM JAM (fall) and Annual Party (spring)
TIME COMMITMENT
G-PAC Members will be asked to complete two years of service on behalf of the mission of CML. G-PAC meets as a full group four times a year and will break into working groups as needed to focus on priority projects. Time commitments may vary depending on projects undertaken and may involve occasional “take-home” tasks.
PERSONAL FINANCIAL SUPPORT
G-PAC Members are expected to contribute a minimum of $250 per year of service (September – May). The funds raised each year through donations are returned to CML in a variety of ways.

– General admission for up to two named adults and all children in one household
– Additional Caregiver Pass for a third, unnamed adult to bring your children to CML
– 8 individual one-day passes for admission
– Association of Children’s Museums (ACM) reciprocal benefits (these benefits offer half-off admission cost for any other participating museum)
– 2 tickets to your choice of CML’s annual events
– 15% discount on camps, birthday parties and classes at CML
– Tax-deductible contribution
– Recognition in CML’s Annual Report
