Please consider making an additional donation to support SuperStars! programming. SuperStars! is a free program offered twice a month for children with special needs and their families to visit the Museum without the overstimulation of crowds. We also have Accessibility Kits available for use while visiting CML that include noise-reducing headphones, sunglasses, colored glasses, weighted lap mats, fidget toys, liquid timers and a visual scheduler.
CML believes that play is essential to the educational development of ALL children, regardless of challenges such as autism, developmental delays, or physical disabilities. Participants come from across the Charleston tri-county area at the suggestion of their doctors, therapists, teachers and hospitals. CML’s Education Committee developed the SuperStars! program with special education teachers, hospitals, and organizations that help improve the overall wellness of special needs children.
Make a donation to have more Accessibility Kits onsite and to continue this free programming available to the entire special needs community!
